Cloudron: hosting open source apps
Want to host a bunch of different open source apps, but don’t want to spend a lot of time managing and debugging Docker configurations?
Well, that’s where Cloudron comes in.
Here’s the magic trick:
Spin up a server. Run one command. Then go outside. Touch grass. Cloudron takes care of the rest:
- Spinning up new apps
- Handling updates automatically
- Regular backups
It’s one server to rule them all, and on the web you’ll find them.
The list is pretty big, choose from 100+ open source apps and services:

We use it for:
- Weblate – handling translations for our projects
- Chatwoot – manage email, web forms, Facebook conversations, and more all in one place
- Freescout – our team's shared email inbox
- NodeBB – the Disciple.Tools community forum
- Links – a URL redirect service (think Bitly, but you control it)
- Uptime Kuma – monitor site status and get notifications if anything goes down
- WordPress – perfect for simple WordPress sites (we have a dozen of these!)
Have a look at the full app list. I personally use it to host the Immich app, which is where I keep all my photos... because Google already knows enough about me
